Buses from Ottawa Macdonald-Cartier International Airport with Bus Routes and Times

Upon arrival at Ottawa Airport (YOW), passengers can choose from several ground transportation services, including rental cars, taxis, rideshares, hotel shuttle services, and buses.

There is no train station at the airport, but there are airport buses to connect to the city’s light rail system, also known as O-Train.

Ottawa Route 97 Public Buses

Ottawa is accessible by airport bus 97, which departs from the platform near the Arrivals Hall. It runs from the airport’s arrival area to downtown Ottawa, providing connections to the O-Train light rail transit system.

The bus is a quick connection to downtown Ottawa as it uses the dedicated Transitway of the city, which cannot be used by other vehicles.

This is currently the only airport bus that is available for arriving and departing passengers at the airport.

Bus tickets are not accepted on O-Trains. However, transfers can be requested when moving from the O-Train to the bus.

Bus tickets cost $1.30 and O-Train tickets cost $2.85.

Bus tickets are available for purchase from vending machines near the entrances of each O-Train station platform or at the airport Arrival Hall grounds.

The machines can take coins and credit cards.

No change is available from the machines. Passengers will need to keep their tickets as proof of payment for the duration of their journey.
